I'm Adam Cotton — a business owner, coach and advisor to founders and owner-managed businesses. I've built businesses, scaled them, and sold them. Twice.
I know what it feels like to build something with everything you have. The stress of the early years. The complexity as you grow. The rollercoaster of trying to scale while maintaining the business you've already built. And the profound challenge — and opportunity — of exiting on your own terms.
What I know, having lived it, is that the exit process rarely goes the way founders expect. And that most businesses — through no fault of their founders — simply aren't ready when the moment arrives.
